M1 Garand Road Trip

I was entertaining the idea of taking a road trip to Alabama to pick out my first M1 Garand in person at the CMP headquarters. It'd be a cross country drive from Washington state to Alabama. Along the way I'd stop in New Mexico to visit my good friend Dave, an army veteran, do some shooting and then continue on to get my Garand. Might be a fun, memorable trip.
