I plan to purchase a CZ Canvasback when I return to the states. Skeet shooting is a whole lot of fun but I don't want to look like a scrub out there shooting skeet with my 12 gauge double barrel.

Deployments Are A Lonely Experience

I've celebrated more than a few birthdays away from home, got another one coming up in September. I'll celebrate it out in the field, eating "hot A's" or MREs. Maybe I'll get lucky and get the MRE with lemon poppy seed cake, I'll stick a candle in it and shit.

Sgt Davis Checks in - Oh, and He's Got His First Lee Enfield!

My good friend and shooting partner, Sgt. Davis sent me a message yesterday. He's stationed at Ft. Benning, Georgia now.

He writes... "Hey man I just got this Enfield rifle from my dad and I am having some trouble identifying where it is from much less what kind of ammo this thing takes. I was wondering if you could help me out."

I can't tell if this one was converted to 7.62x51 NATO or not. I told him to take it to a gunsmith to get it checked out.

He also sent along a photo os his tricked out AK47...

I Know a Mosin Nagant When I See One
