And we're back - Girls with Guns of Course

It's good to be back in the "Wait". I discovered for myself that the old deployment cliche rings true, when you're back home, you think about being back in the sandbox with your guys, and when you're here, you think about being back home. It's a good feeling to be part of a team like 1-94FA, they have been extremely supportive during a difficult time for me and I thank them. The army motto "drive on with the mission" applies here, so without further ado, let's get right back in the swing of things and what better way to do that than with a long over due posting of Girls with Guns photos!

(sort of) Weekly Girls with Guns Photo Gallery - 8 March 2012

I just returned from a lovely week in the field with my unit. It was terribly un-enjoyable, miserable, cold, dusty, windy, no showers, crappy food, no privacy to drop a log... all those wonderful things that make training and sleeping in the field such a memorable experience.

That is the reason for the delay of the next installment of a Girls with Guns photo gallery, that being said, here it is, late and long overdue. It sure provided a boost of morale for us over in this part of the world and I'm sure it'll do the same in your part of the world too.

More Women Exercising Their 2nd Amendment Rights

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT-TV) - Statistics show the number of women buying firearms has grown exponentially over the past decade or so.

Their stories may vary, but, for the most part, their reasons are the same. More local women are choosing to exercise their 2nd Amendment right. For Patti Slagel, the decision to arm herself was easy.

"I realized, being a proactive person, this is one area I wasn't prepared for. The thought of an invasion in my home, the safety of a family member, or a threat at my business became reality to me," said Patti Slagel, recently bought a handgun.
