New Video - My Life at Camp Casey - Part 3

I hope you're enjoying my Life at Camp Casey series. Mostly produced with friends and family back home in mind, it's a nice glimpse into life here on the Korean Peninsula.

Part 3 opens with the infamous monsoon rains of Korean summer and continues through a life fire field exercise with the MLRS rocket launchers. Also included is footage of my trips into Seoul and my attendance at Warrior Leaders Course at Camp Jackson where I won the Leadership Award for my class.

Hope you enjoy the video and stay tuned for more.

Awesome ARs for October 2013

Just have a look at these awesome AR15s, they just make my toes tingle something marvelous! Especially the one with the cute girl shooting it. Hehehe.

:)

Gold Plated Guns?

I'm not sure that I would be interested in owning a gold-plated gun, ever. But I supposed the world will have it's share of egotistical drug deal types that can't resist the temptation to arm themselves with gold plated guns. If I'm going to go "flashy" with a gun, I much prefer nickel plating or shiny stainless steel. But, whatever.

Michelle Shoots Guns

My friend Michelle Lay is one of those rare friends that you might encounter once or twice in your life. She and her husband Paul are life longs friends that I will cherish forever. I always enjoy a nice visit, a trip to their local gym and delicious wine and dinner at their beach view Malibu home. I have invited them to Washington for a shooting vacation, but it seems they couldn't wait and headed out to the range on a recent trip to Las Vegas. Enjoy!

You can follow Michelle on Twitter but be WARNED. Her Twitter feed is NSFW and strictly for adults only!

Awesome ARs

Check out this beauty. I love the look of an AR that's kind of got battle scars and desert tan paint patterns. I want this!

The King of Battle

Nothing else quite like the field artillery. I'm proud to be a part of the lineage. Very cool photo of a fire base somewhere in Vietnam.

Awesome AKs

Another awesome AK for you to enjoy!

Girls with Guns - This Should Hold You Over For a Week

I'll be away from my desk for a week, out playing army in the field this week. This should hold you over in the meantime. Enjoy!

Great, Just Great

Normally, I would stick this in a folder and simply include it in a regular girls with guns photo gallery but for some reason I simply could not wait. You're welcome.

No Words, The Message in the Image is Clear

This outstanding, powerful image was captured by a talented photographer, Danny Postawa, who as it turns out, is a Marine Corps veteran! The Most Super Awesome War Hero Ever

Old School Six Shooters Are Cool!

After years of avoiding them, I have found that I have a true affinity for revolvers. My Ruger SP101 .357 was my concealed carry firearm of choice in the months leading up to my deployment and will be my primary carry piece when I get back as well.

NFL Player Facing Felony Gun Charges

California, ah California gun laws how I loathe you. I will never move back to California. I enjoy my AR15 and AK47s way too much. So does this NFL player who is alleged to have fired his into the air in an attempt to notify everyone that the party at his house, for which he charged a 10 dollar admission fee, was over.

My first question; Why would an NFL player (Aldon Smith of the 49ers) host a party in which he felt the need to charge a 10 dollar entry fee? What kind of friends does he have? Secondly, he knowingly brandished and fired a weapon commonly known to be illegal in the state of California.

It's About Time for Awesome AKs

Here's another awesome AK. It's been a while since I posted an AK photo, I promise it won't take this long until the next AK post!

Gosh, I sure do miss my AKs. I will be taking those babies out to the range a lot when I get back to the states.

And here's one of mine. Poor things is all wrapped up, boxed up, sitting in a storage unit waiting for daddy to come home!

My Helmet - Inspired by Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket

When I deployed to Kuwait in 2011, I decided to adorn my own helmet with a homage to Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket, in which Matthew Modine's character, "Joker" had the phrase "Born to Kill" written on his helmet.

I still have that same helmet here with me in Korea. I'll most likely keep the ACU cloth cover as a keep sake after I get out of the army.

From the movie poster.

And my helmet.

I Know Beauty When I See It

I'll say it again, there's almost nothing more beautiful to these eyes than a Mosin Nagant...

Well, I did say ALMOST nothing more beautiful...

This way y'all can get a taste of what I'm experiencing over here.
