Today's purchase, my first ever Lee Enfield, was bittersweet in that it is my final firearms acquisition before my reassignment to Korea. I'll give her a good cleaning (she needs it) and also apply the same long-term storage gun grease before I sock it away in storage, along with the rest of my lovelies, until I return in two years. I have 80 rounds of British .303 but I won't have an opportunity to put any rounds through this magnificent rifle prior to my report date. All good things come to those who wait.
It's a 1917 BSA Mark III SMLE. It's in pretty good shape, put it on layaway at my local Cabela's a couple months ago and picked it up today.
