Just picked up a 1956 Chinese Type 53 carbine from GunBroker.com. As Type 53's go, this one looks to be in pretty good condition. I gave the barrel a good once over and it looks nice and shiny and bright. Also gave the stock and metal parts a good once over, I'll actually take it apart this weekend and really give it a good cleaning. I'll try to get out and shoot it at least once before I head off to Korea!
