Islamic Terror Attack in San Bernardino

Complete coverage at Fox News http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/12/03/2-suspects-killed-shootout-san-bernardino-massacre-14-killed/

First and foremost, my thoughts and condolences go out to the victims and their families. My heart goes out to you at this most difficult time. So unexpected, no words can comfort your bereavement but know that there's a soldier serving over here in Korea thinking about you.

Let's call this what it is, "Islamic Terrorism" on our home soil carried out by radicalized American Islamic terrorists. And here's what gets under my skin most about what happened in Paris and this incident... I haven't seen any sort of report, news story, blog post, nothing where Muslims are strongly condemning these acts. If you know of any links please send them to me so I don't "jump the gun" here and come across as more biased against Muslims than what I already am.

And in the midst of Paris and San Bernardino we have to listen to the anti-gunners calling for MORE gun control? What kind of logic is that? Forgetting the fact that our right to bear arms is guaranteed by the Constitution, with unambiguous wording like "...shall not be infringed." The Second Amendment is being infringed upon all the time! Enough is enough. More gun laws only serve to further disarm law-abiding Americans.

There's not much I can physically do as far as protesting or getting involved politically, and up to now I've stayed away from posting blogs on sensitive topics but today the virtual gloves come off. Words can sometimes be just as powerful as bullets, so I will do what I can to support the Second Amendment with my blog and You Tube channel.

I, for one, am not thrilled at the notion of living in a world in which ONLY governments, military and police have guns. That is not a good idea. So until we all agree, and I mean every living person, governments, militaries, militias, drug gangs, everyone... to give up all weapons, then I will be keeping mine (and even if that does happen, I will still hang onto at least one of my 1911's).

OK This is Just Stupid

More often than not, when there is a photo of a professional model with a gun, they've got her in some ridiculous pose, she's never holding the weapon correctly etc. Now, most of the time I pay it little mind because, well, I just like to see hot girls in any situations. But this particular photo is about the most stupid pose I have ever seen. It's just a dumb concept, besides, there's not even a sight on that rifle!

Video - The Battle of Gapyong

A fierce battle of the Korean War that you probably never heard of... but should.

The Battle of Gapyong. It feels odd to know that I went bungy jumping over the same river. I feel somewhat ashamed to have enjoyed myself knowing now, what happened there. I might not have jumped if I knew then, what I know now.

Girls with Guns - September 2015

I do my best never to post the same photo twice, but I think one or two of these may have already been posted. I don't really know, after so many years of curating Girls with Guns photos, they start to all look familiar!

Have a great weekend and I'll be back soon USA!

MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket System) Live Fire in South Korea

Sometimes I really love my job. Don't get my wrong, I love my job most days. But some days, I really, really love my job.

Today my unit conducted a live fire exercise which was conducted jointly with the Republic of Korea Army, with the M270A1 MLRS rocket launcher and for only the second time, I was able to capture an image of a rocket just as it's blasting off (I guess that would be the correct term) from the launcher.

An awesome "shot", I must say.

Stay tuned for a video as well.

I'm almost finished with my term of service in the army. I'll be leaving Korea and leaving the army and coming back home to start a new life and, of course, kick start MyGunDiary.com again.

1-38 Field Artillery Conducts Live Fire Ranges

My unit conducted a crew-served weapons live fire range last week at Story Live Fire Complex which is located near the Korean Demilitarized Zone at Warrior Base.

The soldiers qualified with several weapons systems including the M240B and M19 automatic granade launcher!

Girls with Guns Beat the Summer Heat

Time is ticking down for my service in the military. My latest calculations have me departing Korea around the first week of February. I might do a little traveling before making my way back to Tacoma, Washington where I will lay my head for the immediate future. Tacoma is also where my guns are (I won't tell you exactly where, duh) and I'll have quite the job getting them cleaned up and ready for shooting again. I anticipate that my first video and blog post upon my return will feature my first look at my gun collection after 3 years in storage... I wonder what kind of condition they are in?

My anticipation builds with each passing week, until then all I can do is continue to post the occasional gallery. Such is life...
