This is exactly the sort of thing I'm talking about

What good is a concealed carry permit if the police are going to threaten to kill you?

This guy has a permit, cooperates, does nothing threatening. A must watch.

The People ARE the Militia

This article was written by a Lt. Col. Robert Bateman and it's heavily in favor of major gun control restrictions based on the notion that well-regulated militias, as stated in the Second Amendment, are who the Second Amendment gives the right to bear arms to. However, what is neglected in this article is the fact that the militia is the people, not the National Guard, therefore, the people have the right to bear arms. In my humble opinion.

Read for yourself and see what you think...

Chop Shop AK47 - Pakistan

Well, my good friend SGT. Rusty Fisher, shared with me this photo of a most unusual firearm. Perhaps not unusual in the part of the world from which we think it's from... By his account it a "Chop Shop" rifle made somewhere in Pakistan. Now from what I understand, there are a number of amateur firearms manufacturers with shops set up in bazaars and in alleys all over Pakistan. This must be what they produce eh?

Looks like an AK47 mag and odd looking receiver with god only knows what kind of bolt. I wonder if it shoots straight? Much like the women I date, I'd give it a try.

The Right to Self Defense Exemplified

It's not often that I run across a video that really captures the essence of not only the importance of armed self-defense but also exemplifies the reality of the world in which we live. I refuse to be a helpless victim.

In this video, two armed men attempt a robbery but the table get turned and the shopkeeper, a former marine, arms himself and does the right thing.

Korean War Museum Redux

I found myself in downtown Seoul recently with time on my hands. I had been to the Korean War Museum a few months ago but it was part of a cultural exchange program and that tour only last about an hour an half, no nearly enough time to see the entire museum, it's quite expansive. A return visit to the museum was a no brainer and on this occasion, we took our time.

There's a fantastic documentary about the Korean War available on You Tube. I highly recommend it if you want to familiarize yourself with the details and timeline of the war.

Enjoy my photos of the museum!

Video - Galco Leather Holsters

I recently purchased two, used, Galco leather gun holsters from eBay. One for my Sig Sauer P226 and the other fits either of my 4 1/4 inch barrel 1911s (Colt Commander size). This provided me a perfectly good excuse to try out my new camera slider.
